Senior Sharp is a free app made for senior citizens, built by people who care about keeping things simple and trustworthy. This policy explains what we collect and why — in plain language, without legal jargon.
What we collect
Senior Sharp does not ask for your phone number or email, and you don't create an account. The only personal detail we ask for is your name, so the app can greet you on the home screen — this stays on your device and is never sent over the internet.
To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, we collect some technical information automatically through a third-party analytics service called PostHog:
- A random ID for your device. Not linked to your phone number, SIM, or any personal account. Resets if you uninstall the app.
- Basic device information — phone type, operating system, and app version.
- Which screens you visit and when you open the app.
- Approximate location at the city or region level, worked out from your internet connection at the time — not your exact location, and we don't store your device's IP address.
Screen recordings
To see where people get stuck — for example, a button that's hard to find — the app records what happens on screen: which screens you move between and where you tap.
Anything you type, and any images shown on screen, are automatically blanked out before the recording is saved. We never see what you type or any picture-based content.
How this data is used
- We never sell or share this information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.
- We never use advertising trackers of any kind.
- The information cannot be traced back to you as a person — it's tied only to a random device ID that resets when the app is removed.
- Data is sent securely using standard HTTPS encryption.
What we never do
- We never send your name anywhere — it stays on your device only.
- We never learn your email or phone number.
- We never link your app usage data to your identity.
